Student Leadership

The heart of the Warhawk Band lies in its Student Leadership. Leaders have great responsibility to set the standard for excellence high. They perform at the top of their class academically, demonstrate the utmost discipline and respect both on the field and off, and are inspirational to other students.

Student Leadership works closely with the Band Director to implement logistic plans and achieve musical goals. They are instrumental in student relations, and excel in the performance arena. Student Leaders take ownership of the Warhawk Band Program, and are dedicated to its success.

To join the ranks of Student Leadership, individuals must begin from the very start of their band membership. They must display the utmost and unconditional respect for staff, current leadership, and each student in the program. An application must be submitted in the spring, and leadership will then be selected and appointed by current leadership and staff.

Students are encouraged to communicate openly with Officers and Section Leaders - please utilize the email addresses below to convey your questions and concerns!

Drum Major

Madeline Vinci

Hello, my name is Madeline Vinci and I am honored to serve as Drum Major for this amazing season! Being a part of the Warhawk Band has been such a significant part of my high school experience, giving me the opportunity to make life long friends and memories. Going into my third year in the band, I have had the chance to partake in not only Marching Band, but also Wind Ensemble, Big Band, Horn Quartet, Brass Choir, Winter Guard, being a Quarter Master, and performing a horn solo. This journey has been filled with incredible experiences that have shaped me to be the best version of myself, and that keep me improving every day. Beyond the band, I strive for academic excellence and prioritize my family and friends, who have supported me through thick and thin. I am so grateful for them, my fellow leadership, and our amazing staff, for making the band the best it can be! Go Warhawks!

Drum Major

Cooper Johnson

Over the past three years of my high school experience, I have had the honor and privilege to live in the unique and professional culture of the Warhawk Band Program. Choosing to participate in the Warhawk Marching Band my freshmen year was the best decision I have ever made, It led me to discover numerous new ideas regarding leadership, social skills, and musicality. During my time in the program, I have developed a love not just for the music I’ve made in Wind Ensemble, Jazz bands, and various choirs, but also for the people in the program. The opportunities given to every member are truly unmatched, and I am exceptionally grateful to have traveled throughout the country, experienced state and national competitions, and learned from some of the most talented educators in the country. Having served previously as a Quartermaster, then as Drum Major (now for the second year), I am more than excited to start this season strong, and end even stronger alongside closest friends.

Band Captain

Dillon Harris

Going into my final year with this program, the amount of care and appreciation can't be explained. From finding friends to finding myself, on who and what I want to be. This program gave me that chance. The standards we set will stick with all of us throughout our lives. This program has made me who I am. From the stories my brother would talk about that made me want to be in this program, to the memories I've made here, the amount of gratitude I have for this program is more than I can show.

Field Commander

Sam Parsons

This will be my final year as a member of the marching band here at Seminole. In this short paragraph I can not express all that I have learned and how far this journey has brought me. As I look into the future, I'm glad I spent my time here learning the value of things like work ethic, positive attitude, and never taking anything for granted because it could be your last time.

Field Commander

Dylan Madrinan

Hello, my name is Dylan Madrinan and I am one of the two Field Commanders for the 2024 marching band season. I had the pleasure of being the Saxophone Section Leader last year and I'm beyond excited for Field Commander this year. Band means so much to me and it really is my life. The family that you grow and the people you meet will be there for your whole life. I'm so glad I listened to all the people pushing me to join in eighth grade and I wouldn't change anything I've done. So Mr. Madrinan, Uncle Jerry, thank you so much for pushing me.

Percussion Captain

Chloe Popke

Hello! My name is Chloe Popke. I'm the Percussion Captain and I'm heading into my senior year. I joined band in 6th grade and stuck with it all through middle school. My freshman year, "Beetlejuice", I played xylophone and glockenspiel. Sophomore year, "Dia de los Muertes", I played marimba, and I've been center marimba since my Junior year, which I must say, is an amazing honor. I have participated in Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Choir, going on four years now. My sophomore year, I was chosen as Front Ensemble Co-Section Leader, Front Ensemble Section Leader my junior year, and by being in this role, I have learned a lot. I plan to push myself to be the best leader and musician I can be. I also want to push the percussion beyond their full potential. This group has so much potential to accomplish amazing things and I want everyone else to see it. For me, getting first place isn't what motivates me to do better. I strive to be an inspiration for others and to push myself beyond my limits. This is in fact my last year, so I want to graduate knowing I put my all into every rehearsal and performance I do. Making sure I left my mark on this program,

Guard Captain

Gracie Evans

With my last year in the program finally arriving, I'm so proud to be one of the guard captains this year! I started spinning nearly ten years ago with Seminole's Little Hawks program that the guard captains still help run to this day! I can't imagine where I'd be without everything the program has done for me. I'm so happy with how far we've already come and hope for an amazing year!

Guard Captain

Aubrey Murray

Heading into my 4th and final year for the program, it's an honor to be one of your captains this year! I've been doing guard since I was in 4th grade with the Little Hawks Program. When I headed into middle school, I was on the fence about joining, but I decided just to do it, and look where it led me. My first time marching was in the 8th grade with "Into the Unknown." It was during Covid and the band program let a few of the older middle school guard members march with the high schoolers. That year made me want to continue marching in high school. I'm ecstatic to be "On the Trail" with you this season!

Guard Captain

Ella Piccion

As I enter my junior year, I am honored to be one of the guard captains for this very exciting year. My love for guard began when I started participating in Little Hawks when I was in elementary school. When I began my 6th grade year, I couldn't wait to join the guard team, and it has become such a huge part of my life ever since. At the end of my 8th grade year, I had to make a big decision and big commitment in choosing to join this program. I was hesitant at first, but I'm so glad I did. I don't know who I would be without band. I have met incredible people that I now consider family, and I would not trade it for the world. I can not wait to see what this season holds and the amazing things to come.

Head Quartermaster

Becca Novak

This will be my 3rd year in the band program. This program has truly allowed me to grow in ways I never imagined. During my three years I have participated in Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and other chamber ensembles. My time here has helped me become a more hardworking and creative person. This year I have the honor to be the Head Quarter Master and to help create a great atmosphere, help the band grow, and have an incredible season.

Historian

Addison Peace

This will be my 3rd year as a member of the Warhawk Marching Band. During this time I have been able to perform with the Sax Choir, Wind Ensemble, High Noon, and Woodwind Choir. Band has given me opportunities that have taught me how to grow as an individual, and learn the importance of working as a team. I am excited to be a part of the 2024 Warhawk Marching Band. This band is my family and I love being a part of this team.

Battery Section Leader

Alex Huyhn

Hey! My name is Alex Huynh. This is my fourth and final year marching with SHS and I'm extremely proud and excited to lead the drum line of Seminole HS. This band has opened my eyes and it has taught me to improve myself in ways outside of band. It has helped me grow as a person. It's an honor to be able to perform with a second family outside of home and it's an even bigger honor to be a part of it. Go Warhawks!

Front Ensemble Section Leader

Victoria Hills

Joining band was a really good decision, to put it bluntly. This activity is fun and can be rewarding once enough effort and dedication is put in. I love being able to see all the friendly faces of the members in this program. I've been able to learn so much about myself and the real meaning of this program, when so many people come together to achieve greatness. I still have a lot to improve on, whether it be my own personal skill, or just interacting and aiding my fellow members in this program. It is an amazing opportunity to be able to continue in this sport which has changed my life in the best way possible. I want to comtinue to try my best to make the most out of these last two years i have with the program, to make it great for not only myself, but for my friends as well.

Clarinet Section Leader

Indiana Plomatos

In 6th grade, during instrument testing, my mom told me to try clarinet right before the time was out. I ended up scoring really high for it, and since then I knew that band was what I wanted to do. Now I'm on my third year of marching band and couldn't be happier with how things worked out, the memories made, the friendships built, and the learned skill of teamwork and work ethic. On top of marching band, I've been in Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, and served as Quartermaster for my Sophomore year. This band program has made an everlasting inpact on my life, shaping me into a different person. Can't wait to see how much everyone evolves this season!

Saxophone Section Leader

Brady Lockett

I am now a Senior and this is my final year with the Seminole Warhawk Band Program. This program has offered me discipline, advancement, self growth, and friends that I'll have for the rest of my life. As I was coming out of 8th grade back in 2021, I was hesitant and unsure that joining this program was the best decision for me, however, I stuck with it and made it to where I am now, knowing it was a commitment and took dedication. I have grown into a leader and will set an example for others around me. I will continue to push myself and give it my all.

Saxophone Section Leader

Christina Hills

As I continue with the Warhawk Band for my third year, I have been appointed as one of two Saxophone Section Leaders for the 24-25 year. Words fail to express my abundant gratitude for Seminole. The activity, the culture, and the poeple have molded me into the best possible version of myself. With my position, I want to give back to the program that has given me far more than I could have ever dreamed, bringin others into the rich community and continuing as a positive part of something much bigger than myself.

Trumpet Section Leader

Aiden Arcidiacono

It is such an honor to be the Trumpet Section Leader this year! I can't believe it's been four years since I got myself into this amazing band. I'm so excited to welcome our new members into this life changing experience, and show them why we work so hard to do what we do. I can't wait to watch this band grow and succeed and do so many amazing things, creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. I have also participated in the Big Band, Wind Ensemble, and many other chamber groups.Being a member of this great community has taught me many things about teamwork, the value of work ethic and the commitment required to achieve greatness.

Mellophone Section Leader

Sam Bowles

The reason I joined band was because my older sister, Charlotte, brought me along to rehearsals so I could watch the band practicing. It was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. I was already onboard with joining by the end of her Freshman year, and when I got into 9th grade, it was ffinally my time to do what she did. As the year went on, I slowly began to realize what the program was really about and my love for band grew even stronger by the end of the season. I was making a ton of friends, doing fun things, learning life lessons that have made me a better person compared to who I was before, going places I'd never gone before. I feel like if I hadn't joined this program, my high school experience wouldn't have been as fun, or meaningful.

Baritone Section Leader

Kayden Carter

My name's Kayden. I'm a Junior and I'm the Baritone Section Leader for the 2024-25 season. This is my 3rd year playing low brass and 5th year overall of being in band. I love everything about band whether that be Jazz, Concert, or of course Marching Band. I can't wait to experience more and more of this season in this position. As Baritone section leader I will make sure to always represent the best parts of Seminole's prestigious program. All in all Low brass is objectively the best!

Tuba Section Leader

Aubrey Proco

I never thought I would be a tuba player. I didn't know what I would be, but being inspired, I joined the sousaphones. I never expected to be tuba section leader so soon, but I have made many new friends and many memories. I owe a lot to the Seminole Warkhawk Marching band.
