Much like Marching Band Camp, Concert Band Camp is the official start to the Concert Band Season. Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, and both Jazz Bands will attend. Concert Band Camp is a two day experience, and is held at SHS.
The first day is spent with rehearsals, skits, and general exercises designed to bring students together socially, and in turn, musically. The second day, clinicians will be brought in to work with the sections, and masterclasses will be held. After lunch, bands will come together to rehearse, dinner will be brought in, and the day ends with a trip to the Florida Orchestra.
All of this will be covered by the Concert Band Fair Share - which will be calculated and released in November.
Students need only come dressed comfortably, eat before they come both days, and pack a lunch for the Saturday Camp. Also needed on Saturday will be a change of clothes for the Orchestra.
For the 2017 Season, Concert Band Camp will be held on Friday, January 13, and Saturday, January 14.
