The Winter Guard is hosting a Zumba Fitness event on February 10th in the high school gymnasium from 2:30pm to 4pm and there is a $10 suggested minimum donation. Please see the attached flyer to notify your friends and family. Please ask others to share via their social media! The next Booster Meeting, aka Parent Meeting, is February 19th at 7pm. (Unless otherwise noted, the Parent Booster Meeting will always be held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm in either the Band Room or the Chorus Room at the high school.) If you have any questions, please contact any board member at the contacts at the bottom of the email. Please attend! The band cannot be amazing without amazing parent support!

Our Sadie Hawkins Spring Formal is February 8, 2019-and is right around the corner! We need set up help and chaperones for the event, which runs from 7pm to 11pm that night. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased at the Senior Window, before and after school, and during lunch, for $15. They can be purchased on-line for $20.

Volunteers needed! All County Band rehearsals are scheduled to be held at Seminole High School next week on 1/31/19 and 2/1/19. We'll be running concessions both days in order to provide on campus meals and snacks to students and staff. We are in desperate need of a few volunteers that can help us one or both days. Volunteers would need to be available during early afternoon hours on Thursday and/or on Friday between the hours of 9 am and 9pm.  This will be a scaled down version of our normal concession stand and we are taking pre-orders in order to better facilitate. Please contact Trina Weatherly if you are available to help for a few hours or the entire time!

The Band Boosters currently have the position of "Contracts Officer" open due to a vacated position. This is a Board position. We need to fill the open position as quickly as possible. In accordance with our bylaws, the Board has nominated Cyndie Moore for the position of Contracts Officer. Voting for this position will take place at the next Booster Meeting, which is scheduled for February 19, 2019 at 7pm. If there is anyone else who is interested in being nominated for the position, you must notify the Executive Board in writing prior to the meeting.  Attendance of this Booster Meeting is vital. We must have at least 25 Boosters in attendance to be able to vote someone into a board position.   Please be sure to join us on 2/19/19 @ 7pm.

Fair Share payments for the month of January are now due. This includes all of Concert Band, Winter Guard, and Indoor Percussion. Payments can be made by check or cash and dropped in the blue box. You may also make your payment with PayPal through our website, seminoleband.org. Please be advised that payments done through PayPal are subject to PayPal’s processing fees.
